this forum needs to have a rule in place whereby no-one is allowed to post a jolly roger recipie unless it is indisputably proven as reliable and effective. as stated in a rant in the plastic-explosive thread, we have to many hardcore 15 year olds copy pasting these shocking recipies with a stupid little disclaimer all in an attempt to seem like they know something about pyrotechnics and explosives

I'm pretty sure that some of them work, but they either just suck, or are incredibly dumb to make.

yes, some of them do work, others are just inefficient, but but some of them will spontaneously combust as soon as you mix the materials together. if you pick the wrong one, you die.

easiest way around that: do your own research to make sure that you are not going to die by making his shit.

Yeah, I definately think that should be a rule. I know that quite a few of the more experience people have went off on people for posting stuff from the Jolly Roger.

I agree that the 'jolly roger' recipies are stupid, however almost all their basic recipies are
correct, lets face it, it quite hard to get those wrong. The most dangerous recipies that
they have got completely wrong often involve realitivly hard to get chemicals. Meaning
that the average 15year old idiot couldn't get their hands on it anyway.

so if some more experienced person managed to get their hands on these chemicals and
dosen't twig that there is something wrong and blows themselves up. You cant help
feeling if they were that stupid they deserved their fate. IN a way 'Jolly Roger' could be
seen as a form of 'natural selection' amoungst the pyro race.

Jolly Roger weeds out the idiots from the worthwhile members. We pay a minor price of occasionally having to put up with their bullshit, but it flags a user as a total moron and clearly not worthy of our time.

Plus, we all like to flame shit and they're an easy target.
