vasoline- falmmable or not?

seeing as vasoline is a petrolium byproduct, is it flammable? or do they use a synthetic substitute to sell to consumers these days?

It is a petroleum byproduct, but it also contains lots of water. So it would burn, but you'll have to get it to a high enough temperature first, so that the water evaporates, instead of just coming out of the vaseline, and killing the flame.

I know that you can mix that with something(Vick's Vapo-rub it think) and then put axe/gas/pam/a low flame object that's decently easy to put out and light it on fire and just walk around while it burns.

Do not listen to what I say, I am not the smartest person in the world, muchless the best at remembering certain key items used in doing certain things. I am not completely reliable on some things, on others I am the most reliable. If you try this and I am wrong, do not come back to me bitching because you now need skin to cover your burnt/charred forearm. Again, i will not be held liable for your stupidity.

TUTORIAL ON FLAMING VASOLINE

i just thought of a great idea on how to test whether its catches on fire or not

ok these are the requirments you need

1) vasolene
2) lighter

ok ready? this is what you do. take the vasoline and pour onto a surface (preferably aluminum foil) now take the lighter i told you you needed. this is the tricky part, put pressure on the wheel of the lighter then press down really fast and hold down the button (dont burn yourself, burning yourself may result into burns) now u see that orangish thing floating amonge the lighter? thats called a flame.... do u understand? now take that flame and apply it to the vasoline that u supplied. this is the imprtant part, make sure the flame makes contact with the vasoline. once it does hold it thier for a couple seconds. now let go of the lighter and back away... is the vasoline still burning? if it is then yess vasoline is flammable. if it didnt catch on fire its NOT.

damn im bored
