Ok a few Questions for you more experienced pyros since im not that experienced...

ok i wanna make a form of gun powder\black powder and ive heard kno3, sulpher, charcoal is a good mix to make it...

so heres a few questions...

1) Its a mix of kno3, charcoal and sulfur with a ratio (by weight) of approx 15:3:2?

2) The head of matches are most part sulpher

3) About 10 Pounds in a confind space is enough to make a good explosion

4) What is a good source of sulpher

Please answer True or False for the 4 Questions and any tips you might have on the making of this

ok salt peter charcoal and sulphur is black poweder
whicih is basically the same as gun powder yet less refined
im not sure but is kno3 salt peter or potassium nitrate?
and 10 pounds in a confined space will give you a mighty boom

kno3 is potassium nitrate otherwise known as salt petre what about the match heads being mostrly sulpher will this work if i get like TONZ of matches and crush the heads to use as the sulpher? or where can i get alot of sulpher?

sulphur, well you could try to extract it from fertaliser (sp?)

O.o fertaliser contains both kno3 and sulpher?

if u just use matchheads u can make a nice explosion. I blew up a pipe with matcheads alone once.

ya it takes a hell of a lot of matches though. Ive done the tennis ball thing from the cookbook, surprisingly it works very well.

Yeah Potassium nitrate, Sulfur and charcoal works.

2) yes, sometimes with a little bit of dye. Unless your completely desperite for sulphur, dont try to extract the sulpfur from match heads

3) 10lb of what? In what amount of space? And whats your definition of a "good explosion"?
