Mix iodine crystals into ammonia until the iodine crystals will
not dissolve into the ammonia anymore. Pour off the excess ammonia
and dry out the crystals on a baking sheet the same way as you
dried the thermite (in other words, just let it sit overnight!).

Be careful now because these crystals are now your touch
explosive. Carefully wrap a bunch in paper carfully friction sets them off! and throw them around..
They are fun to put on someone's chair. Add a small fish sinker to
them and they can be thrown a long distance.

He was not the original source it was first made by Bernard Courtois in 1812. This stuff is WAY to dangerous for you kids to be working with. It can explode simply from a fly landing on it.

Try it can detonate under its own wait. Don't blow on it if you do get it, that would most likely set it off.

it might be highly unstable, but it isn't very potent, so it's not that dangerous(in normal amounts).
try stabilizing it in petroleum.

Yes it is very weak. The speed it detonates with will still cut right through flesh.

myah, you might be right, it's pretty useless too.
on the other hand, may come in handy for detonating an ANbomb if you manage to produce the stuff inside the bomb.
