yeah youd need a powerful higheplosive like C-4. alot of it actually.

That is true, but you need to have them hit each other hard, to fuse them. As mentioned, C4 is the most efficent way of accelerating them, but weaker things such a black powder work too. You can't simply touch them together.

For what I´ve heard when a mass of about 20 lbs. comes together, the radiation emitted by the mass is enough to split one atom, and that would produce more energy, setting off the next two atoms.

Yes, but it's not like a liquid; the two solids don't become one upon contact. If you touch two rocks together they don't make a big rock. The same theory applies here.

Ok, I see your point. But it would be possible to figure out at what speed the two 1/2 balls need to hit eachother to make them merge together. And for what I´ve heard, that speed isn´t very high.

Even if you did all that stuff right, the chances of you actually getting a nuclear explosion are 0, neither the american or british governments would allow the sale and distribution of weaponized uranium.... I know you can buy regular uranium on unitednuclear.com, but I can guarantee you it's not weaponized
