I did somehting like this with a small bolt action hollowpoint, but this took some thought. I may try this. Although, I might tear the bletchings off of an arrow, and center the esplosives around the arrow shaft.
(fletchings are feathers, shaft is the wood) This way I figure that I can have a bomb that sticks into its target. It's be rertarted to do this on a tree, and a haybail might be a little meak. Maybe a haybail in the middle of some plywood? I weould go with the primer idea.

Yeah, you're right about that.

But to stick to the subject: You can also tape a bomb to the point of an arrow, cover the bomb in bird glue (don't know if you have it in the US: doesn't dry, sticks immediately on contact), and just shoot it from a longbow. That kind of explosives were my first experiments, since bows are cheaper than shotguns.
