Alright so i know the main idea of the tennis ball bomb. Ive heard how to make it in many different ways. My friend told me to use match heads and snaps. i was wondering if theres any other contents you could fill a tennis ball bomb with?

what exactly is potassium tri-iodide ?

really really sensitive explosive, prone to detonation under it's own weight, and doesnt produce much of an explosion...should never be stored, but is extremely easy to make, fortunately, as it should never be stored...

i'd suggest something along the lines of a higher explosive which is in the center of the match heads so that upon impact, the match heads will burn the higher explosion


if you do use match heads, make sure they're strike any where matches (typically white or blue)

try a napalm tenis ball....just one in half, fill it with napalm, tape it shut, cover outside with napalm/gasoline/anything flamable, light, throw

upon impact it should throw lit napalm everywhere

just dont throw it too hard, as napalm that we make is a bit slow to light....(military napalm seemingly explodes on contact with air cuz it absorbs the air so fast)

what im tryin to make here right now is a combustable tennis ball bomb so the idea for this is not to spread a flame but to make any actual implosion. do you have any thing to add to help me out man?

why'd you want to have it implode? i mean that kinda defeats the purpose of it....just dissapears on impact.....kinda pointless.....explosions are more fun

if you wanted an explosion from a tenis ball, use the bloody high explosive (flash powder?) inside of the match heads....just fill w/ match heads just under half way, place high explosive inside, fill other half, on impact, it should explode

i would use match heads but i dont have strike anywhere matches. ummm what i did just discover is some old un used fuses and morning glorys which may take my tennis ball bomb to a different level.do you have any suggestions of what i could do with that?

and i also found 9 ground blooms. i might cut open and mix the powder in my tennis ball bomb with the snaps. and then put the fuse inlight it and see what happens. =]

The unstable stuff is nitrogen tri-iodide, potassium can't form molecules with 3 iodine ions. That would result in KI, instead of KI3.

my word, you're right, it is nitrogen tri-iodide, however there is a potassium tri-iodide, and it's a pesticide, could be why i mixed the two up....i was wonderin where i would get Na and K mixed up, i mean they're kinda different....
