Mix actone with bromine, slowly heat it over a low flame, and you should get something very similar to teargas.

Real 'tear gas' (CS is actually a solid and used in powdered form) is made by reacting 2-chlorobenzaldehyde with malononitrile with a weak base as catalyst. These are two materials that you'll probably never get your hands on, and synthesis is tricky.

An easier irritant to get ahold of is capsaicin, which is the stuff that makes hot peppers hot. Grow some habenero peppers, press them for the oil they contain, and use that.

Yes capsaicin is very interesting stuff. When in gas form is classified on the same danger level as nerve gas. Causes blisters when pure. Just powder dried henberos and soak in alcohol or acetone. filter and evaporate.

Xylyl Bromide was used in WW1 tear-gas,also benzyl bromide intensely irritating to skin and mucous membranes. It also has been used as a war gas. But Im pretty sure you can use bromine and acetone.
