concerning where i got the recipe, i cannot remember now but obviously somewhere off the net a while back. i have experimented with different ratios but i wish i kept a log detailing the amount of substances and the yield in grams(dont have a scale): )

but i have tried doubling and tripling the formula with minimal gain in the final product.
does anyone make tatp regularly that can give me their formula and yields.

it may not be the chemical concentrations. what is the exact procedure you use

i make an ice bath and cool the acetone and h2o2 to around 30 degrees F. next i slowly mix the acid in keeping it below 50 degrees F. then i put it in the f***** for 1 day or so. next i pour the stuff through a coffee filter and then pour baking soda water over it to neutralize the acid left over.

i have had this same problem i think it is because of the low concentration of hydrogen peroxide when i make it with 3% H2O2 i get about a 1gram - 2grams of AP

PS: i have been experimenting on ways to purify the 3% H2O2

would it really make a larger yield if i went and bought concentrated h202 at a hair salon?

no. but if you bought it at home depot, that might...

it might also take less time to make

if you fuck around with concentrations then you have alter other concentrations around it. write out balanced equations and calculate what you need to alter mol for mol and then convert that into grams. if you have no idea what i'm talking about then you are too stupid to be able to operate a keyboard
