spud cannon

does any one know what kind of bolt (copper, alumminum, ect.) would be best for making a electric arc in the chamber on a spud gun?

for those who don't know the camber is the part where the feul goes, and the bolts are for the ignition.

I've never heard of making a spud dun like that. I've just used a spark pug conected to an ignition coil with a car battery. Aluminum and copper will work but the only draw back I could see is that if it gets too hot it will melt them or wear them out faster than steel.
