Simple but satisfying bang.
If this has been posted, feel free to delete it, I didnt really feel like going through 11 pages to make sure.
This "device" has minimal danger to it, makes a pretty decent bang for the amount of work you have to do.
What you need:
1 Screecheroo/Humeroo(thats what they're called in Canada anyway, no clue if they're something different in the USA.) You get them wherever fireworks are sold, and they are about 3-4 inches long, and normally make a most unfullfilling screech sound...hence the name screecheroo
Empty 2 litre bottle of coke or whatever pop.
Plastic bag(any plastic)
Pair of pliers(any kind works
How its done:
First, cut a square piece of plastic about 2-3 inches on each side, this doesnt have to be an exact size. That piece of plastic will be used to hold the powder from the screecheroo inside the neck of the 2 litre bottle.
Tuck the piece of plastic into the neck of the 2 litre. Think of an upside down parachute, thats what it should look like inside the 2 litre.
Take your screecheroo, and remove the fuse, as well as the little pieces of paper that holds the powder.
With the pliers, squeeze screecheroo close to where you can see the white powder. its going to take more than one squeeze, this is to make the power "loose" so it comes out of the screecheroo easy.
Pour the powder into the 2 litre, which, with the plastic, should start piling up right at the neck of the 2 litre. Keep using the pliers and pouring the white powder into the 2 litre until the powder gets to the brown powder...once you start to see brown powder come out of the sceecheroo, stop. I have no idea why you dont want that brown powder, its just the way I was taught to make it.
The cap of the 2 litre needs to have a small hole put in it. You can do this any number of ways. Drill, knife...anything. Personally, I use a small finishing nail(a bit thicker than the fuse) heat it up with a bic lighter...holding onto the nail with the pliers obviously. When the nail heats up, poke a hold in the top of the pop cap, it will melt a nice perfect size hole in the cap.
Thread the fuse through the hole, and make sure you have enough fuse at the bottom of the cap so that it makes contact with the white powder.
Twist the cap back on top of the bottle, and volia. You have an ordinary looking empty 2 litre bottle, with the exception of the fuse sticking out the top.
Light it, and step back. It will make a pretty decent bang. A hell of a lot better and more entertaining than what a screecheroo normally does.
This device isnt very destructive, its more noise than anything. I still wouldnt reccomend holding onto the 2 litre when you light it.
