This has already probably been posted, just posting for anyone who doesn't want to search...

Alright this is probably the easiest thing to do.
You need a bunch of shotgun shells, depending on the boom you want, use more.

BOMB
-Get thumbtacks, one for each shell.
-CAREFULLY tape each thumbtack to the firing buttons.
-Tape the shells together, and put some weights on it so it will land on the thumbtacks.
-You're done! Just throw it/drop and it should go boom.

MINE
Alright this one is again, very simple.
-Do EXACTLY what you did in the bomb tutorial, but this time get a thin sheet of metal, or wood, and super glue that to the thumbtacks.
-Bury it WITH VERY LITTLE DIRT.
P.S. Don't test it out.

MISSILE
This is probably what you were looking for. This is again, very simple.
-Again do the steps in the tutorial for bombs.
-This time get a model rocket, and tape the shotgun shells to the front of the rocket, make sure all/most of the thumbtacks will hit the ground at the same time.
-Launch it at crap.

These are really good if you ever want to make a massive, cheap army to take over a country or something. They're cheap, easy to make, hard to trace (if you pay with cash)
You can also tape some other explosive materials around the shells or something if you want.

wouldnt your "missile" be classified as a rocket? i seem to think (maybe incorrectly) that missiles have some sort of guidance system. anyways, i'm pretty sure the shotgun shell would weigh the model rocket down way too much. maybe with wheels? thats the only thing i can think of that might work. also, would not a sotgun shell exploding not have much force for it will have no more than a mm (approximate) case for compression? it would kind of go pop. and someone would be like "well....that was odd"

if you are trying to kill someone and have an abundance of shotgun shells, a SHOTGUN would be infinite times more effective than pretty much all of those suggestions.

and if i want to make a massive cheap army, which i dont, i'm sure the automatic kolishnikov 47 would be incredably more effective at taking down a country. (or at least people)...any country you plan on fighting will have better weapons than you can get cheaply as a civilian. pretty much how it works. except maybe ghost. he'd find a way to take over a coutry.

Incidentally, I'd like you to think about something. What end is the primer on a shotgun shell? The back end. Which end does it shoot out of? The front end. So any mine using shotgun shells in that way will be shooting down into the ground.

Also, shotshells are pathetically weak. They need extreme confinement to even propel properly, out of the chamber they'll scatter shot maybe a foot or two.

Use shotgun shells for firing out of shotguns. Use proper explosives for mines and rocket warheads.

Not only will the effect be relatively pointless, (as stated above) but this is also way too risky imo (especially if you have little experience with pushing tacks into the primer of a shell).

You would have a better chance at taking over a country with a switch blade then with any of this shit.

When a shotgun shell explodes, it comes out in every direction, these aren't used to make big firey explosions, they'll blow your legs off...

When you think about it this doesn't sound like much, but strap like 5 of them together and they're pretty lethal.

If you don't believe me try it, I've heard stories of people getting their faces and hands blown off from these.

Guess what asshole? I HAVE tried it. Expedient field demolitions from conventional munitions is a big part of demo training. A shotgun shell will NOT blow your legs off. neither will five. Sure, I mean, it'd hurt and you'd have a few BBs in your legs, but it's nothing anywhere near incapacitating.

Another type of shell you can make is the 12G or 10G Flechette Shell. You can purchase the flechette from various military surplus or magazines such as Cheaper Than Dirt. These rounds are devastating to anything they come into contact with including NIJ Level III-A body armor. They are also very good at penetrating several car doors to reach a 'hiding' target. These rounds cause incredible wound channels and are very effective against large enemy combatants.

For those that have no clue what flechette is, look it up.

I reccomend using a standard 2 3/4'' 12G round, or the 3'' 10G round, in the magnum range for peak performance.

If you really want explosives, just go to south of the border and buy the mortars(fireworks) or quarter sticks. What you do with them after that is your own deal.

A large mortar set off in a medium sized coupe will suck in the doors and roof, destroy all of the upholstery, blow out all of the windows, and lift the car about 2 inches off the ground.
