the piccolo petes or whatever you have there have tightly compressed whistle mix that can be used as a powder for low order explosives but i dont believe its as good as black, and know its not as good as flash. anyways, if you can somehow break apart the powder in the tube (its compressed into a chalk like state) you can probably get it to explode as long as the tubing still has sufficient structural integrity. idk how ur gonna do that though..rubber mallet? pliers might work. idk though i've never used the powder not ground up inside something else. (like never still in the firework) although, a chunk of the solid stuff doesnt burn when a lighter is held up to it
