why don't you do a demonstration of thermite on a inch thick sheet of metal

example; one of my planned experiments is following; I tak a bowl of water (clear) and drip some phenolftalin in it. Then some soap, an because i cant use sodium, i use lithium instead, whitch is oke, or this experiment. The lithium will dance on the water leaving a pink path of where it has been.
