im not exactly sure how you would do it but a cheap wireless router and a good antena with a laptop seems like it would be a good option a little more high tech and exspensive but it might work. i think if you could set up one laptop through an eithernet cable directly into (some wireless routers have a hub in the back) the wierless router and have the power supply of the laptop rigged into the explosives in such a way that when a seperate laptop in the area logged into the router and booted the 1st laptop remotely through the router it would detonate the explosives. a little more safe than just some random signal setting off an explosion

would using an old lamp with a broken light bulb work. break the light bulb, turn on the lamp, out the wir to your explosive, get away and plug in the lamp thru an extension cord!
