Remote detonators...

*Legal Disclaimer* This information is for entertainment purposes only, and should never be used for illegal activities. Check with local law enforcement agencies about the legality of these methods, and make sure doing so will not break the law! With regards to safety, always make sure you utilize a safety device of some sort to prevent accidents, such as a detonation circuit breaker.

The easiest and most reliable way to detonate a pyro device, in my own experience, has been the basic model rocket ignitor/engine. Last time I checked, they could be purchased at any local wal-mart and/or hobbylobby. They are triggered by an electric current, typically using a DC power source.

Wired to a signal generator such as a pager, they can be triggered remotely by phone when wired into the pager's vibrate and/or audio circuit.

Battery-operated accoustic guitar tuners with a built-in mic and an LED read-out can be triggered using an audio source set to a high volume at a specific frequency.

Radio-controlled toy car electronics can also be useful as a remote power source, and are much easier to use, as they do not require using step-up transformers or relays between the signal receptor and ignitor in order to produce a voltage high enough to detonate.

Guitar tuner would be wayyyy too risky. Likewise, with RC cars and pagers, you have no way of isolating the signal - Anything at the right frequency, or dialling the right number, can set it off. When you consider that some 98% of cheap RC toys are using 44Mhz IIRC, and the effective range can be several dozen metres... You're not looking very safe any more.

there are kits to make a IR sensor kit, that connects the circuit when enough IR is directed at it (sort of like an IR version of the clapper) to turn on lights and such. would that be too risky as well? actually i can imagine it would be....someone decides to change the channel on their tv and you explode...HOWEVER, there are some that work similarly but with like laser pens initiating it. might that be safe?

just think of it this way: Is there any possibility that there could be the same signal out there for any reason? if he answer is 'yes', then it's not worth it.

What you should be looking for is unique ID devices.

Excuse me if I sent another occasion any questions uncomfortable,
Count live here, this type of detonator is not for sale, in fact, knowledge of the pyrotechnics, and the rockets is zero, zero
I for my part I am ignorant of the real issue, but for that, I went to this forum to learn certain things that still do not know ...
I would like to know if there is good pages on the topic,
"Detonators on" in this case detonators that can be done either manually or craft at home, where information is explicitly (as a manual or steps to follow, is realized learning)
I thank dismissal.
