Well, fireworks are a big no-no in my particurlar city. Infact, top possible felony charges if you're found within 500 feet of city limits with anything explosive. There was this thing with some retards, some cars, and a butane tanker truck that pulled in for a sandwhich...

Anyway. So, I can't just go out and rip a fuse out of soem cheap ass fireowrks that sell for ten bucks. I have no access to gunpowder, black powder, or flash powder. Yeah, I know I know. You try living like that.

I've made a phosphorus fuse once, but that was incredibly dangerous and I suffered minor burns in the process. So that's out.

I was hoping someone had a recipe for a fuse that burned at a moderate rate, though I won't get too picky.

I do, however, hope for a fuse recipe that can withstand being chucked into the air; one that doesn't go out unless you want it to.

I'm hoping for more recipes about making flames than receiving them. Remember, I have nothing but normal householdmaterials, and I lack any explosive compounds that I haven't made myself through crystalization or some other equally painfully long process. Use 5 parts of KMnO4, 1 part of sulfur and 2 parts of household silicone.
Mix them together and make a paste 3-4 milimeters thin. When it's dry just cut it.
