Allthough, that night he had a vision that crab-people will campaing against humanity striking soon the first frontier: his old farm. So he decided to purify his fertilizer to get some fine and pure ammonium nitrate. Also he decided that after he becomes a hero he should have some fun and enjoy himself laughing his shit out with loads of laughing gas."

The moral teach of the myth: Does someone know how to purify fertilizer grade ammonium nitrate to get some really, and not nearly, pure ammonium nitrate?

I have been through that shit over and over again and we both know that getting what you want from the search engine is like looking for needles in heystacks... Besides the fact that you have to perfectly describe what you want is also the fact that the post that contains the pieces of info you want has to be equally perfectly describing them. Not to mention typing errors etc... and since I am not searching like: "pipe bomb, boom, easy explosive, homemade, cool-shit-my-ass" that would generally refer to some obvious info on how to make some not-safe loud pressure/pipe bomb, and I am looking for something by far more specific, the damn search engine won't give me shit! So if you want to help give me some info or a link and leave the "utfse" for the average bodybag-wannabe noob. For Christs sake, I am a bloody chemical engineer! Some respect here please...!

Oh, and numerator don't forget that old McDonald wants to make some nitrous oxide too so the fertilizer grade ammonium nitrate has to be thoroughly purified. I... I mean "he" doesn't want to inhale something bad for himself, or else he want be able to stop the evil crab-people and for that we are all doomed!!!

Numerator thanks for actually being helpful and not bitching around thinking you have to do with an immature noob. Nice thread, thought it would be on drugs, even though I have the laboratory apparatus and the proper set up to make some nitrous oxide. I am not asking for that. What I am trying to learn is that since the fertilizer grade ammonium nitrate has besides ammonium nitrate and other chemical substanses, like CaSO4 i think, does it has to be purified for the purpose I need it? Becouse perhaps heat can make some of these decompose in hazardous and 'bad for your health' substances and this is the kind of thing I am trying to avoid.

Ghost has got the point and said that washing with water can clean up these shit... But since ammonium nitrate is also soluble, what am I supposed to do? Dilute some fertilizer in water and then what? Boil it perhaps? Can this do the trick and remove these shit?

P.S. Oh, and phoenix, just for the record, I do look up in books at my university's library, do bibliography and stuff. Is this enough to prove to you that I can successfuly do utfse? And the fact that I am a chemical enginner proves that I can study seriously and utfse when I want to learn something, not that I know everything! And since you are a Search-Engine-Pro give me the exact words you used in the search engine that actually gave you as a result not every tiny piece of shit that has been written about ammonium nitrate but about the thing that I am searching for, if you can percieve it.

Ammonium nitrate is water soluble, calcium salt denaturants aren't.
