heavy duty construction boots, flame retardent overalls, gas mask and face shield from a firefighter buddy of mine and depending on what i'm working with the gloves vary

I can't afford much, so I just go with basic safety skill and wear stuff that I know isn't the best....but it's better than other stuff I could be wearing

Regarding masks: When mixing and milling fine powders, especially fuels such as metal powders and charcoal, a simple article respirator (e.g spray painting half-mask) is a must, unless you want black and silver boogers for a week. Given that metal powders like beryllium and silicone cause all kinds of cancer, I think it's an excellent idea to wear one even when working with 'safe' chemicals - Rememebr, once upon a time, we thought Asbestos was safe.

im with ghost on this one my neighbor works with load of chemicals (he sprays for weeds etc.) so i steal some of his masks.
