Do u think it could be possible to heat up a metal bar such as iron really really hot and place it into a bottle of water and cap it and the steam produced will be enough to blow like an ice bomb?

i dont think so....water expands when it cools........it's among few things that do that.....

but....if you were to get the temp of the metal to a fairly high temp....(somewhere around 130 degrees) and cap off the bottle, chances are you could build up enough pressure that it would blow up the bottle, but it would probably melt thru the bottle first.......

If you could heat up enough of the water to boil it into steam quickly, you could cause an explosion, but probably heating a bar and dropping it in wouldnt work. The bar would cool off before you managed to cap it and all the steam would be gone.
