Ghost, after you said "buy it" I checked skylighter and I found a problem:

Exactly. Buy something else minor, cheap, or irrelevant for a couple of times, like casings or mill media. Then buy the shit you need.

You can always make it... But boy is that hard...

skylighter.com sells it, but you cant buy dark aluminum with it, and you have to be 18.

skylighter.com wont sell you potassium perchlorate or dark aluminum powder on your first order because they know youll use it for flash powder. unless your like me and your moms a chem teacher. but i guess if you order frequently thell give it to you eventually

i heard that a 50/50 ratio of KNO3 to Mg is a good flash powder, however i thought flash powder was 30% Al Powder and 70% Potassium Perchlorate, which is better, if not both?

Flash powder has many different formulations - KNO3/Mg will work, but not as bright or loud as others and is harder to light.
