Naw, like I said, the places where you can get products containing that kinda stuff have just too little in it to extract, for example, a 50 liter (roughly 13 gallons) bag of fertilizer contains about 30-50 grams (1-2 ounces) of potassium and much less nitrate (I have to go check on the amounts again...)

Look: Potassium Nitrate is a compound. A chemical substance.
There are a thousand difeerent fertilizers out there... Many of them are not solely one substance, they are like a mixture of chemicals that are good for the plant, like a whole meal for the plant and not just one type of food. The fertilizer you are looking for is an one-type-of-plant-food fertilizer. It is solely, pure KNO3. There might be one hundrend of fertilizers that will contain KNO3 but what you are intrested for is the one that is just KNO3. So if the fertilizer says only KNO3 then that is what you are looking for. If it has a whole list of substances and it says smth like "KNO3 - 0.01%" then screw it. You can look for other fertilizers with a higher percantage of KNO3 but it is a whole process the extraction of the KNO3 from a mixture of substances, so... if you can get pure KNO3 why trouble yourself.

Anyway, what I meant before is that you can synthesize it. If you could get let's say pure ammonium nitrate fertilizer and could also get some KOH then by mixing and reacting them you would get KNO3 and ammonia which you could boil away resulting in pure KNO3...

Now that I think of it, if you could find NH4NO3 fertilizer and then get some gray wood ash (it's mainly I think K2CO3) their reaction results KNO3 and (NH4)2CO3... and then you can seperate them according to solubility or other chemical-physical properties...

But thats the problem, the fertilizers here are really really really low in KNO3., and you can't even find Ammonium Nitrate here!!

What fucking annoys me about the online supply sites is their prices! I think they are SOOOOOOO fucking expensive....

yah they are, thats why i usually try to find my chemicals, at stores around here under other names. oh this has nothing to do with online chemicals being explensive but it has all kinds of pyrotechnic chemicals and doesn't restrict quantity on oxidizers. the only thing as with most sites they don't ship oxidizers and aluminum powder in the same packages
