Actually, Drain-O works too. You just have to get the right one. I've used drain-o before and it worked fine.

The mix of hydrocloric acid and other minor, yet key ingredients need to be present. Along with aluminum. Its only a pressure bomb, so its not extremely loud. I would say about Gun Shot level.

It has to be "The Works" original formula
10 or so Tin foil "balls"

Its needs NaOH (sodium hydroxide) or HCl (hydrochloric acid) to create hydrogen on contact with aluminum or zinc.
