*shrug* it all depends on the thickness of your bottle, fuel type and all that. It's certainly safer if you just cork/screw on a lid and tie the rag around the neck, that way you don't run the risk of the rag falling out while you throw it and spilling fuel all over yourself and the flaming rag.
