Just let him use rocks to grind his chems. When he gets a piece of flint caught up in the whole mix he'll be sorry.

Um, when he says you'll get a piece of flint mixed in, he means that you'd be using flint to grind it I believe which y=would be your own damned fault.

You mill all the chems together.

The point is mainly to force tiny amounts of the potassium nitrate into the millions of pores in your charcoal.
The sulfur is just there as an igntion helper.

If you want medieval BP yes, if you want to make effective and reliable BP you need to do better.
1: grind ingredients thurroughly, to fine powder
2: mix ingredients into a well devided mix ( you now have basic black powder)
3: mix BP with water and put the slurry in a plkastic container.(don't remove exces water)
4: Let the slurry dry in the container(a black brick will remain)
5: pulverize the brick. (with wood!!!)
you now have better/faster burning, more reliable and easier to use BP

Wrong!
The precipitation method is nowhere near as good as simply grinding the powders together.
The charcoal has a very low solubility, as does the sulfur.
Just grind it, arse.

The corbon and sulfur aren't supposed to solve, when the water is evaporated the sapleter is left in little cristals on the carbon and sulfur making it spread more equal over the BP.
Do some research before calling me an arse, mkay?
