Question "chemical separator" ???

"Chemical separator" ??? ... Goggled it, wiki-ed it, same result: no clue! could you explain to me a few things about it, like... wtf it actually is this thing? it kinda separates chemical substances, like isolating each one of them from a mixture?

Well stalhwulf, this is exactlly what i am talking about. it's magnesium hydroxide [Mg(OH)2 as i said before]. but through boiling off the water, ***ting the Mg(OH)2 and then electrolysis this would lead to pure Mg, right?

And numerator-91, i am not trying to make my life diffycult and so i want to eletrolyse Mg(OH)2 to get Mg. i have thought of e-bay but as i, also, said before: not an option! . in a few months i could give a try but for now, na-ah! i don't have an exact adress, nor a credit card and generally it is hardly going to work. Robinson Caruso does better remember...
don't need a credit card, i have payed with paypal, direct debit and money order. and you can have it posted to any adress you so desire, just call a buddy to accept the package at his house. age restirictions aren't a problem either, ive been buying it off ebay since i was 15

Really I have no clue what it is but I know that if you put a mixture in it it will seperate the ingredients. For example, sugar water, it'd seperate the sugar from the water.

you'd have to distill that
and there are so many different ways of separting substances and each way requires a different machine eg. centrifuging, distillation, evaporation, filtration, magnetic separation etc. etc.
elaborate more on your machine and post a picture.

it all depends on who you buy it from. some people ship world wide for one single "shipping and handling" fee, some only ship country wide, some charge more to ship it other places, ect. just keep looking until you find someone who will ship it out to you.

Alright that sounds good It's the kind of machine that spins around with little vials attached like the ones used in Crime Labs.

i still don't see how you can't get a magnesium fire starter, iv'e seen them or variations of them at every outdoors/camping related store i've been to (then again i live in the U.S. but still, i doubt that they're that hard to come buy). it's a little rectangle of magnesium that you shave pieces off of with a knife, has a little strip on the end to strike with the knife to make a spark.

but if you can't do that buying stuff on the internet is really easy, i just got a checking card so iv'e been buying a bunch of shit. lying about your age on the internet is very easy (i think i made myself 21 on this site just by habit)
