Long lasting large sparklers

So, my friends every now and then have this fight night (don't ask...). Well they wanna start having AWESOME entrances. Well I offered to help (don't quite remember doing so) and they were wondering about some large long lasting sparklers.

Now, I wanna work with pyrotechnics for a long time, so I wanna make these, not go buy them (will do if I fail though).

Does anyone have any cheap (or semi-cheap) process of making these?

They will be suspended upside down so it will have to be packed into something securely.

Any ideas?

(Yes I do plan on having all things done as safely as possible, and having medical supplies, and emergency ready to reach if need be)

WOW THATS A LOT OF STUFF!!! (I mean amount of ingredients wise)

All I need is the

300 parts potassium chlorate
60 parts aluminum fines, flitter, or granules
2 parts charcoal
10% dextrin in water solution

So that solves that problem.

The only other one is...Where do I get those!? (the charcoal one is obvious)

I don't mean to baby feed...but any clues?

(And thank you for the link ^_^)

aluminium- ask for bronzing powder at a paint store
potassium perchlorate- you'll have to buy this online from places that sell pyrotechnic supplies to order
dextrin- go to a brewing supplies store

and as for large ammounts, you can make as much as you want, those are just the ratios

Dextrin can be made by baking the water out of corn syrup (supermarket), chlorate can be obtained my making it in a chlorate cell, aluminium powder can also be obtained by breaking open an etch-a-sketch, or by acid powdering. You don't need it to be particularly fine mesh, so hell, throw a bunch of aluminium foil into a food processor with some kerosene and blend very slowly and carefully, letting it cool down every 20 seconds or so.

potassium chlorate can be pretty simply made w/sodium hypochlorite and potassium chloride which are both common household things and the recipe in the link looks fairly simple...but if i were to make large quatities of potassium chlorate id use it for cooler thing like uh idk things that go BOOM
nd out of curiousity why do need to put kerosene in with Al foil in the food processor...would just aluminum foil work?...or do u need a liquid?..nd in that case y kerosene?...
