The Light bulb bomb.

I'm thinking of making it. I just have 2 questions. One, when I fill the ingredinets into the light bulb, If I screwed it into a ceiling fan, would it mess up the ceiling light? (Probably a dumb question. But might as well put it out there.) And if it would, would it be safe for me to put in a flash light rather than the ceiling light?

Two, I have gun powder ready, but it asks for "black powder". Would gun powder be an okay susbtitute or does it really matter?
