I think blowing this thing up is the last resort. it's a 5inch steal pipe concreted into the ground. The mailbox is welded on, and there's a bad ass re bar cage around it.

I've hit mailboxes with: spare tires, cinder blocks, mufflers, fire extinguishers etc. etc. etc. I've broken mailbox posts in half, but this thing will not go down! I hit it with a steal box with 53lbs of dirt in it...going 95mph!!! and it just spun around. This thing has got to go!!!

I've made a few small bombs(pvc pipe), but nothing that will get this job done

you don't want rebar shrapnel flying around in, especially if this is in a residential area. don't use explosives.

and why do you want to destroy mailboxes so bad? especially when you have obviously done this enough that people have to go to great lengths to prevent you from destroying their mailbox again. can't you find something better to do with your time than destroying other people's property?

aww...I have a hous a mile away that has a mail box that is in this protective "chamber" of steel bars...

What we do it just put shit in the mailbox...literally shit...or anything else that you might not want to find in your mailbox...

but if you want to actually destroy it, it sound like you might want to rip it out like you said...

That's a pretty badass mailbox. It's out of your league, unless you want to rock up with an oxy torch or a thermal lance or something.

This mailbox is in the middle of nowhere. so I'm not worried about shrapnel,and ghost its a wide open area so if I'm standing out there with a torch and someone sees the sparks flying everywhere at 2 in the morning there gonna call the cops(we have "dukes of hazzard" cops. I've seen one do a 180 across the median and blow both right tires to catch someone with a loud radio)trust me there gonna come fast. so i want something that i can be at least 1/2 mile down the road before it goes off

Mix up about 5 oz. of C3H5(NO3)3, and about 1 lb. of Al/KClO4; put the C3H5(NO3)3 into a small vile and place it inside a 2 inch pipe that is 6 inches long, take and pack the Al/KClO4 in around the vile of C3H5(NO3)3, cap off both ends ( remembering to put a hole in one end for the fuse). Place this in the mailbox light it and run like hell, and if there is anything left of the mailbox then I would give up trying to destroy it.
