watch your eyes when putting in water if it does explode its going to create sodium hydroxide and disperse it into the air so keep your eyes safe. that goes with any explosive keep your head safe that means eyes nose and hearing should be kept safe. i usually wear a face shield when doing anything. as well as some heavy duty gloves, with a pair of protective latex or similar underit.
