edit- after a quick search i found that the most common wood lacquer is nitrocelluslose lacquer. would storebought nitrocellulose lacquer in the form of a wood lacquer be as efficient?

Yeah. It's not like napalm because it sets hard; it's main purpose is just to waterproof something that is still quite flammable.

iv always soaked a wool string in butane to use as a fuse (after it dries) burns fast but i can always compensate by using more. i find that sparklers dont always set off the explosive , any of you guys have that problem ? i might just be using the wrong type of sparkler lol

Wool string in butane? You fucking moron. The butane 'drying' is the butane EVAPORATING. After it's dried, what's left? Maybe a smidgen of mercaptans or higher boiling stabiliser fractions, neither of which are particularly conducive to burning. Use your fucking head.
