Okay well you need to thread the barrel first if you want a true seal so that the gasses dont escape and make a noise. And none of you have the tools to do that. If you really want to make your gun's report quieter use subsonic ammo, than get a beater .22 rifle if you have one and get a PVC pipe. CAUTION dont do this if you like the particular gun, use a shitty gun that you don't care about, I used my Marlin 60 .22. Than get some endcaps for the PVC and trace the tip of the barrel and drill a hole that size so it will fit over the barrel. Put a large washer down the PVC pipe large enough for the .22 bullet to pass through, I would recomend bigger though because you wont be able to mount the silencer on straight. Than put a big nut in it than a washer, nut, washer, nut etc. The spaces inbetween the washers will create air spaces where the gasses will go to when you shoot it. Make sure they are in tight and dont move around and shit than put a cap on the other end. I did it and it worked pretty good. You can still hear it but not nearly as loud.

and if you can pack a bit of cotton into the gaps it would be even more silenced
