black powder isnt gun powder asshole and you can use a coffee grinder to make it too just put the powders in sepratly and wash before adding the next one

Didn't we already have this discussion once before......gunpowder 80 years ago would have been BP, but now day's it is smokeless powder which is completely different.

And I'm one of them. I kinda thought black powder and gun powder where the same thing - would you care to explain the differences in the two?

I would be glad to explain the difference in the two:

Black Powder-- Is a mixture of charcoal 15%, sulfur 10%, and potassium nitrate (salt peter) 75%; all measured by weight and mixed with a ball-mill. It can be used as an explosive.

Smokeless Powder-- Is a mixture of nitrocellulose, with about 50% nitroglycerin, and sometimes nitroglycerin and nitroguanidine (*nitroguanadine*). It is utterly useless as an explosive, and is only useful as a propellant.
