when making homeade fire crackers how far in should the fuse go?

enough to be secure, and in the explosive.....it doesnt really matter if you put it in too far...just make sure it's in the explosive.....

maybe around 1/2 an inch if you wanna be paranoid around it...1/4 of an inch would work, but you gotta make sure it's in the explosive...as long as it's in the explosive, and it's secure, it really doesnt matter.....

The fuse should enter half way inside the device.

it should ALWAYS be far enough in that it touches powder no matter what position the explosive is in, but if it isnt it will probably still light if the fuse is "dusted" with the powder (like BP of FP) becuase that will light and light the rest with the flames...
