I saw this video on youtube (I know not a good source most of the time). Anyway it is also a book written by Ragnar Benson http://www.amazon.com/Homemade-C-4-R.../dp/0873645588. Pretty much it showed instructions for improvised C4 (if that is even the case) and I would like to know what you thing of their ratios and the chemicals they use.

250ml ammonium nitrate (they said get it from fertilizer with 34% nitrogen)

powdered alluminum (radiator stop leak)

80ml nitromethane (RC racing fuel)

I'm not making this one because I'm not experienced enough, and two I don't know what it does. So what do you guys think?

Well in the video they shot the improvised c4 and it did not explode, but when they shot the stick of tnt it did so... I don't know if that helps. Anyway I'm not going to make it and burn it cause I don't have that much experience with explosives. It probablly needs a primary blasting cap and that is much more unstable than this is supposedly. If any of you want to do it post results.

Well C4 DOES require a blasting cap. The TNT might have been a bit excessive though. And the fact they USED TNT makes me question the recipe.

That's not C4. It's something I like to call 'ANIMAL'. It's wild stuff, but takes a fairly powerful booster.

thats an-al with nitromethane would that boost the an-al

question just looking at the ingredients it looks like it is just an ANNM bomb to me, what do you think?
