okay here is a little project this one should be easier to figure out than the home-made rpg.i want to make a home made land mine easy a reasonably inexpensive so i can make alot of them to put in my yard.im still tinkering around with it but i think im going to use coffee cans. i have like 50 of them just laying around.as for the explosives i haven't really decided what to use yet but ill think about that when i figure out what i want to do for a trigger.i just thought of this so i haven't really figured out how im going to do it yet but ill post the results when i actually make one. im not even considering explosives until i get a reliable and safe triggering device.

You want to put land mines in your yard?

What on earth do you plan on telling the authorities when a kid jumps your fence to retrieve their ball (they shouldn't do this but they do) and they blow their leg off?

Easy way of getting around that, put up a sign saying

"Warning: Land mines have been placed on the premises."

or something to that effect.

Haven't tried but friends have said that a shotgun shell with a firing pin under it sitting on a spring works, cover with dirt conceal under shrub. Voila, instant 12g landmine.

it'd be great to see the cat after it jumps on the shrub...

for the shot gun shell to work u need a pipe to put it in so the shot goes up and blows there foot off or u can make a bunch of bunjy pits

its a pit filled with spikes so wen some 1 steps on them it goes thru there foot and if u rubb shit on it then it can make a maseve infection and will be verey pain full and can lead to a pain full death

edit: it was used in nam and was very efektive agenst solders and if u sharpend them rite u could make them like a razor blade

why 1 shotgun land mind... when you can have 10 or something in a can face upward! xD

i'm thinking PBNO momentary switch, hooked up to an electrical detonator and your explosive in the "mine". maybe put a small stick on the switch so that it will only be detonated when the stick is broken under X amount of force, so you dont kill the neighbors dog.

you would probably need to encase it in waterproofing

why do you need mines?

if i were to make a mine it would be for airsoft and completely harmless...not for putting in my yard haha
