I've been trying to find an easy way to obtain flash powder. Lady Fingers and Black Cats, When i take them apart i seperate the clay part and then dump the silverish/greyish powder on a sheet of paper and keep it seperate then i redo the process, i havent used it yet but, i've just kept it in a ziplock bag for later. Is the powder flash powder? or no? If not can you guys tell me what it is and if its useable for M-80's other explosive devices etc.

when you empty a firecracker or firework you get gun powder if you are looking for flash powder try night flashers melt it down and grate it and you have colored flashes in powder form careful when you are melting you dont get it on fire or heat it too fast or it will explode but have fun

M-80s do contain flash powder, that gray substance is flash powder.

How is it equal to suicide? And, what happens if i breath this shit in? I was packing it into a pipe and one of the caps fell off and clumsy as i am i fumbled with the pipe in my hand and powder flew everywhere and i think i inhaled some of it in.

This has happened a number of times to me and I'm fine. So if it is harmful, I would say within my total ignorance here of coarse that it would take a large amount to really hurt yourself. Obviously some mixtures are more harmful than others so if you don't know what your working with don't feel comfortable to breathe anything in. I only do if i have to and that would be through my shirt.

You should always attempt to maintain the highest amount of safety when handling chemicals and storing them. Especially when dealing with explosives. Ignorance to the subject of chemicals and their effects leads to health and safety hazards. So, if you don't know what you are doing before you do it, you really shouldn't do it.
