Okay, to begin with, I had a few questions about the simple smoke bomb. I know that potassium nitrate, etc is a simple smoke bomb. I was wondering if the casing would have an effect on the burning process, such as if it would burn quicker if the fuse was in the side? I know you should use a decent size cardboard tube, such as a carpet roll tube for big smoke bombs, or a paper towel roll for small, but is their anything else that is simple to use? Also I was wondering if any chemicals would give a more vibrant color, or should I just use what you can get directly out of a hobby store.

Oh and I was wondering, I read in another thread that you can use heavy rubber,such as automobile tires, to make a thick smoke grenade. I was wondering if you could possibly use this as a cs gas/ smoke grenade mixture.

i would use something thicker than a paper towel roll, something like a smarties box

Well Ive never used a paper towel roll,it was an example,but yeah it is good to fix that because we will get some kid in here that will try a paper towel roll.Just go behind Home Depot or somewhere in the back and get the giant carpet rolls.

you could use an empty soda can, or soup can, coffee can for bigger ones

Is that a fairly good smoke bomb design?It looks like a soup can with holes in the side and a larger lid attached to the top.Its not that bad of a design.But yeah we are kind of getting off topic also with the other posts.
