i kno how to make these things but r they safe enough to use? i mean can i throw it behind sumthin and survive? sum1 told me they just go bang but 1a my friends told me itl blow fuckin craters in the ground.

Depends what you fill it with. Fill a CO2 cat***** with match heads and you'll be lucky if you can get it to explode at all. Fill it with FFFg black powder and it'll mostly stay in one piece, but smaller pieces could be thrown, and even the big piece takes off and could hurt you pretty badly if it hit you. Fill it with flash powder and the thing will fragment into multiple pointy little shards that will be moving quite quickly and could easily kill you...

I wouldn't advise throwing the thing unless you have good fuse that you can trust. Use a longer fuse than you think you need, light it, and get behind something solid like a rock or a substantial tree trunk. Remember the line of sight rule: If you can see it, it can kill you.

Very dangerous. I advise STRONGLY against using any metal casings.

i put them in the ground and under stuff...then run like fuck.
