Those AREN'T plastic explosives. It's a gummy explosive, but NOT plastic because it doesn't mould, it sticks, and it runs when warm.

the homemade c4 recipe all makes sense until you get to petn synthesis and nitration of solid fuel to produce RDX...
for both petn and the nitration you need highly concentrated nitric acid... I beleive 70% nitric/98% sulphuric for PETN and 98% nitric for RDX... not to mention where can you get the pentaerythritol... where would you find this in your house, or any department store for that matter? obviously much of this has to be specially ordered from chemistry stores if you can even find it there.
