Well... My household, at least...

In a regular house there are a number of things that go into it, but not everything. Basically, it depends on your definition of 'household'.

A family of four in a suburban area with a two-story house and a white picket fence that you can climb over. The father is a successful lawyer and the mother is a stay-at-home wife.

Artificial sweetener in the cupboard, likely to be erythritol or preferably penta-erythritol. Nitrated with a mixture of drain opener (activated by oxidising the buffers with mother's hair bleach) and fertilizer in an ice cube and salt bath. Self-vulcanising rubber tape from father's toolbox and blue-tac are dissolved in xylene and filtered, then the solvent evapped and the resultant gakk powder blended and kept warm in a double boiler. If the family ever goes camping, they may have solid fuel tablets in the pack which can also be nitrated to produce RDX, combined with P/ETN 60:40 and the binder gakk in the double boiler with a little sewing machine oil until desired consistency is reached.

Damn. That's awesome.

Takes a little skill, and know-how, but it's entirely possible.
