Bottle rockets

no bang: cut the top portion ( about the width of your thumb off ) or just pinch it off.

cool display of fireworks... dip in isopropyl alcohol before launch.... ( may be extremely hazardous to your hands )

Isopropyl burns at a low temperature, doesn't emit much light, and is easily blown out it open air.

I call bullshit.

okay.. go try it and proove me wrong.. to be honest I've never done it, I just heard that it makes a neat effect...

I can tell you right now it doesn't work.

Instead, try this: Get a metal coffee can (or any kind of metal can) and punch a hole in the side as close to the base as you can get it. Put just a dusting of black powder (smokeless would also work) in the bottom of the can, then break the sticks off of as many bottle rockets as you can fit into the can without them binding up on each other and put them all in the can fuse end down.

Stick a bit of cannon fuse in the hole you made in the can. Put it somewhere safe, like a big empty parking lot, and light. If it all goes well the powder will at once ignite all of the rockets and throw a good portion of them out of the can with the pressure, at which point they will all fire off more or less simultaneously and create an enormous racket. Not to mention spray the area with unguided rockets.

This one I have done, and it's fun. Albeit dangerous.
