so your saying all a nucleur bomb is is a heavy duty cylinder with uranium facing each other each with a large explosive charge behind them?

That's the actual NUCLEAR bomb, yeah. Ofcourse, most of the time, there are other HE's surrounding the nuclear bomb, to produce lots of fallout.

hydrogen bomb: triggers a reaction which makes hydrogen into helium, which produces really big boom, much like the sun, only w/o the continuation for a few billion years (by a few, i mean a lot)
