does any body know whats in a battery that is extremly flammable

i don't want to open it cause there is an acid in there that dissovles ur skin!

All I know about batteries that interests me is that you take the gel pack kind and take the packs and like throw them at a wall or something and come back the next day and a hole will be threw it lmao

are you sure there is "skin-dissolving acid"? I've opened batteries several times, and there was nothing like that. however, when you do open one, you should do it by hammering intothe negative (flat) end, while it is aimed away from your face. there is pressure built up inside and some shoots out when opened

Most batteries contain absolutely nothing useful. Unless you really have a use for contaminated manganese dioxide or something.

Lithium batteries (that aren't dead) can be used to extract pure lithium, but there's not much in there and it tends to react with air and go "poof".

Lead-acid batteries contain lead (duh) and generally some weak sulfuric acid that will not in any way 'burn a hole through a wall,' because acid doesn't work like it does on the Batman cartoons, okay?

Also, if you've ever actually lifted a lead-acid battery (I wager that you have not) you'd realize just how heavy they are (thus, the lead part...) and you wouldn't be able to throw one very far nor effectively carry more than one or two of them anyway.

i made a weak pressure bomb out of sulfiric acid or something.. i opened a AA batteriy adn got the siver foamy stuff adn dried it for a day then i got a 2 liter adn filled with 1 liter of OH adn dropped the sulfur in adn it was worked at least...

what about the type of stuff in car batteries... or is that just water... because I heard of my friend adding water to his battery.. maybe he's just a retard..

I've always wanted to try napalm on top of a car battery....I have been advised it would do nothing though
