if you want 'explosive' salt, go to www.unitednuclear.com and buy pure sodium. Then take a little bit, or a lot, and throw it into a bucket of water. Run, or rig up a quick release system so that it will like, i don't know, drop when you are far away! otherwise, you'll be roasted...

Also. The explosion is just not that large, AND sodium is very expensive.

magnesium doesnt explode in water. it releases hydrogen if sprayed with water while burning.

besides, if you look at chemical reactions, you can usually figure out whether something will work or not from just that.....experimentation is not the only way to determine if something works or not, and someone who has already experimented with it will save you a lot of time if you actually listen to them, altho many things dont work the first time and have completely different results the rest of the time....but chances are if someone on this site says "doesnt work" it wont fucking work.......

um considering last year i left a block of magnesium outside in the rain and it didnt blow up im quite sure it doesnt blow upnow i probly saved some on some magnesium. because some idiot would have ordered magnesium powder added water to it and destroyed it, instead of making good use of it. saying that youd kick my dog is retarded and shows that are just a pussy and wouldnt prefer to kick which would probly result in a bitch slapping.
