The only way I can see to get this thread back on track is to tie guns to explosives. Hypothetically, because they are illegal, what are thoughts on exploding bullets? It would have to fit in a hollowpoint, perhaps a large caliber handgun (larger cavity). The compound would have to be stable enough to not be adversely effected by the heat caused by friction. Any thoughts?

Exploding bullets is a toughy because it would need to be sensitive enough to detonate on impact - But thanks to newton, to create that force, we need to give equal to or more then that force initially to get it moving. So, you'd need a large calibre round (.45 upwards) and more then just hollowpoint - I'm thinking melt the cupronickel core out of a jacketed round.
