Alpha radiation source
Im looking for alpha radiation sources besides polonium-210 or americium-241. If possible try to provide me a way to get americium-241 out of a smoke alarm. I want to make a large spinthariscope. Thus I need a source of alpha radiation. Polonium-210 simply has way to short of a half life.

Thats a possibility. i got the americium 241 out of a smoke detector but im not sure if it emmiting alpha particles anymore. i need a sheap geigercounter
