C'mon, acetylene is such great stuff, and the only thing you can think of, is to put it in a garbage bag?

That will result in minimal pressure buildup, if there is any. There might also just be a giant flame (giant flames are also fun, but not as much fun as explosions).

Since acetylene doesn't need any additional oxygen to ignite, I suggest putting it in a steel pipe, with a little added oxygen or nitrogen for a louder bang. You can just put a small sparkplug in the pipe to ignite the gas, and then the bomb will send metal shrapnel flying everywhere in quite a range.

Because me hunting means I know shit about guns more then a regular person, and you could probably use a regular round, a fucking streak of hott ass gasses and shit are coming out the back of it...you just cant be too far away you have to be closer to it...unless you do use a tracer because if you dont then all the gunpowder and shit in the round will get used up by the time it gets there and it wont be burning anymore...its possible though to use a gun....if not just make a fuse or use a tracer, whatever works for you....

IF you could light it at all u would have to light it with a tracer round within 350yds before it is all"traced", and temptation there is NOT any hot gases hot enough to light ANYthing behind a bullet, if u knew anything about guns u would know that even a shotguns powder (which, the slowest burning propellant in ANY gun, is intended to "push" the shot and wad rahter than explode and "fire" a bullet) is completely burned up and used in under 18 inches of a comfined barrel.... not a safe lighting distance. the only powder that will shoot omething and burn slower is the old like 1900's BP that took about 30in to burn up.... a rifle ill most definately not like anything unless it sparks, no matter what u see in the movies.

ummm....an rpg would work, obviously. ha, actually, im guessing the rpg would be more fun than the actuall ballon bomb type thing. so fuck wasting the rpg. make a potatoe cannon but like have some sort of delay round instead of a potatoe and do some math, then shoot it and boom. but honestly.....flamming arrow would be the coolest. or hell, light a rock on fire with napalm, wear some earplugs and throw as far as you could.. it would be like a game kinda. or, damn....that could be an intense game of flamming golf.

Contrary to popular belief you do not need a tracer to get a trash bag full of acetylene going. Any reasonably powered rifle will do - I've seen plenty do it with simple ball ammo out of a .223.

Uhh no because a bullet doesnt carry fire it only carries heat i dont think that it would work that way.

And they dont make ball ammo for .223 from what ive seen. i could be wrong post a link for where i can see one and ill believe you.

I think if you need to be that far away then rig a solar fuse to a battery powered alarm clock then just wait for the timer. a good d-6 rocket engine will be able to give you the fire you need to light that sucker up.
