a homemade cherry bomb perhaps?

-ping pong ball
-gun powder
-4 inch long fuse ( www.cannonfuse.com )
-nail polish
-(preferably) duct tape

cut a little hole, in the ping pong ball, pour gun powder in the ball until its about 3/4 full. doouse the ball in nail polish. put fuse in and tape around ball. light fuse. ka fucken boom

there was a guy that took chunky peanut butter and shoved it down his underware, and when he got up on the stand he pulled out a hand full of it and showed it to the judge...he got off on insanity cuz it looked like shit and he just shat his pants and held it up to the judge...i think that classifies him as crazy (if it was shit...he's actually a genius)

yeah i heard about that he even ate some of it that is genius ill try that when i blow up the rehab im in! i HATE that place

Sure, but first they have to figure out you had thermite. It will take more than a fireman to tell them what started it. besides, there wion't really be any evidence, the gas fire would have burned it all away, the Thermite would be long gone. lol.
