cut a slit in a tennis ball and fill it with the tips of easy light matches then put one or two of those silver crackling things in it duck tape the ball shut and throw it or fill a barrel with fireworks and throw it into the barrel

Wanna see a really cool trick? Take about 10 lbs of thermite to the gas station, put them on top of a gasoline pump, light it, and get the hell out of there. It'll give a nice fireworks display (like: pretty bright flame from the thermite, then giant explosion from the gas, then pretty big smoking flame from the gas station).
